Performing as a singer-songwriter since age 13, Kayla is uniquely interested in the relationship between music and media.

Kayla has filmed countless hours of concert footage as well as edited live concerts and promotional material for local music venues, artists, and festivals. Beyond her efforts filming, composing and writing on music, Kayla is a working video editor and filmmaker. One of her favorite creative projects to date is a short film, "As It Was,” which follows college senior, Joyce, as she navigates the aftermath of a traumatic experience. This film has received multiple festival selections and awards including "Best Woman Short" and "Best Student Director (Female)."

Outside of work, Kayla enjoys spending time with friends and family (preferably over a good meal), and sitting down with her guitar to compose new music. You may spot her drinking cappuccinos and listening to Sleater Kinney.
